Gyaraga (AKA Fighter) is the name of the protagonist ship that appears in Galaga and other successors, It's the ship that destroys the Galaga army and is the futuristic Earth's mechanical guardian.

Shoots one bullet at a time and when captured it turns red.

Gaplus[]

The Gyaraga keeps the same design, but arrives in three pieces.

Galaga '88[]

Galaga '88, the Gyraga has a bigger fuselage. It moves faster than the Galaxip, shooting more bullets at a time. In Namco Museum DS, the X button is a rapid fire button. Its dual form is simply two Gyaragas bolted together, while a triple fighter is a huge model of the ship, shooting three different bullets.

Galaga Wars[]

The Gyaraga (refered to as "Fighter") appears as the player's starting ship. Its look is modeled after its appearance in Galaga. In Galaga Wars, each ship has four abilities. The Fighter's abilities are as follows:

Jumbo Shot: Fires Big Projectiles that can Kill Multiple Enemies at once. (Affected by Fire-Rate Power-Up)

Magnet: More Coins are dropped per kill and can easily be attracted, along with Warp Capsules, Credits, and Power-Ups.

Turret: Slowly fires Auto-Targeting Missiles. (Affected by Fire Rate Power-Up)

Missile Barrage: Fire Auto-Targeting Missiles. (Affected by Fire Rate Power Up)

A different ship based off the Gyaraga's '88 design is also available for unlock, said ship being named the "Blast Fighter." Its abilities are listed here:

Jumbo Shot: Same thing as the Fighter.

Plasma Barrier: Deploy a barrier that destroys all Enemies and Enemy Projectiles when they touch it.

Twin Laser: Activate Two Lasers that instantly destroy Enemies.

Circle Barrage: Fire Projectiles in all directions.
